First, let's start with a Texas favorite...in fact, a Threatened species, the Texas Horned Lizard (aka "Horny Toad")

From the TPWD's web site, "The Texas horned lizard currently is listed as a threatened species in Texas (federal category C2)." Well, thanks to our new "wildlife sanctuaries", these little dinosaurs now have a safe haven where generations upon generations of dwindling horned lizards can call their home. Apparently this little guy didn't find his new "sanctuary" all that agreeable.
